My friend, Cat Lady, and I finally booked the holiday for all of us the other day. We've been planning it for a good while now when we decided to just sit down and book it. We're not going any where fancy, just to Center Parcs in Whinfell Forest, Cumbria, UK, for a mid week break where we will have much fun arguing and laughing.
Six of us went to Center Parcs in Sherwood Forest earlier this year, a day after my birthday in fact, and the trip went down rather well. However, this time we've shuffled things around a bit.

So much for uploading something today. I seriously would have if it wasn't for the arrival of my *vintage* Spirograph set in the post this morning. Oh how the hours have flown by today... or rather spiraled.
I had a kids' Spirograph set when I was younger but I never understood how to do it until a week ago when I had the opportunity to have a go on a slightly older set from the 70's. And it was magnificent. All the patterns were so pretty and I got the hang of it pretty quickly.
I'm going to see if I can incorporate some of the patterns into some fanart but I can't guarantee it will be any good!

Auto legend Carroll Shelby died Thursday night at Baylor Hospital in Dallas at the age of 89.
Carroll Shelby's shadow stretched out Texas tall across nearly the whole of the world's automotive landscape. A natural as a race driver, he won three U.S. sports-car championships in Ferraris and Maseratis, and for Aston Martin he won the 1959 24 Hours of Le Mans with British co-driver Roy Salvadori.
